During this class you will acquire in depth knowledge about Iznik pattern and motif making. You begin the traditional way of learning Iznik stylized leaves and progress to penc, hatayi, carnation, rose, lily, hyacinth, etc motifs. Composition creation will begin and will be motivated by the student. When the course is finished students will be able to recreate the general Iznik motifs as well as create basic compositions.

The symbolism, historical significance and and spiritual importance of motifs and patterns will be discussed throughout the beginning of the class as a part of a short presentation that will allow students to become acquainted with the subject matter in a deeper way.
This is a four part class. **Class registration is limited**
